VT-VZ CATCH CAN / OVERFLOW ASSEMBLY
This hand fabricated option caters for turbocharged applications that require a catch can breather assembly for the crankcase, and doubles as a coolant overflow (in a separated system) for when the factory coolant overflow is removed for pipework routing. This system suits all VT-VZ with the LS engine fitted and mounts to the drivers side cylinder head. This system is designed, built and tested in house at our Albury fabrication workshop. This part is not a Chinese imitation, it is proudly built in Australia by Australian tradesmen
Key features…..
- Aluminium construction, TIG welded, sturdy bracketry that promotes a sturdy and headache free install
- Crankcase (oil) side has 2 x AN10 inlets that are internally baffled which forces fluid to the bottom of the tank if any, breather outlet on top is 27mm ID for maximum flow and zero restriction for crankcase ventilation
- Coolant side suits the factory sized overflow hose that you can shorten and adapt to this tank, internally there is a baffled plate welded in that prevents sloshing
- Sight tube added to coolant side to be able to monitor level if any should make it in
- Powder coated TEXTURA black. A durable low gloss finish that wears well and blends well into all engine bays
- The crankcase side features a DIY drain system that can be routed down and mounted under the car anywhere to your liking which gives the tank its own easy access drain point, essential for any turbo car especially those running ethanol fuel
- All mounting hardware, hose clamps and instructions on a USB stick included
For best results using this system we recommend the factory valve covers be used, but modified with AN10 fittings on each valve cover and ran to the catch can as required. The factory breathers aren’t big enough and are internally restricted- therefore we deem them incorrect when modifying down the turbo route.
This part was designed for turbocharge applications, may suit combos with superchargers but we cannot be sure as it is not our focus.
